Green Button’s principal product is Green Button Perfect PA - a contacts and communicating manager or CRM (Contact/Client/Customer Relationship Management) product.
The features in Perfect PA have evolved from the early experiences of Green Button’s founder Mark Staniszewski.
“I had several small business interests but also spent much time organising sports and social events. I found that I had information in many different programmes and files in my computer, all not well filed. Too much time was being wasted finding the details I needed quickly. I was initially looking for software that could help me record basic data about all the contacts and businesses I had, but which also had the flexible facility to add as many extra fields as I liked to store extra information about contacts/businesses. I discovered FileMaker and started to use it to achieve exactly what I wanted. Then it became clear that we could further extend what I had created into a comprehensive product for all small businesses and home users, allowing them to store virtually all the information they needed about people and businesses known to them and to execute and store all communications of various types with them as well as create and store invoices and other operating documents (purchase orders, quotations, receipts, credit notes etc).” Green Button CRM software was born.
FileMaker itself has been evolving over the years, (by 2010 it has reached version 11), and this has allowed Green Button to add and improve the features contained in Perfect PA CRM. We have added task management functionality, embracing Calendar views, To Do Lists and anniversaries to the existing contact management features. An extensive range of lists and reports has been built and these contain many combinations of fields where you can view data in list view, edit data, flag records of interest for further action on them, print your lists (often with a revised layout for instance with merged address fields, and with user options on header and sub-header text), and save and export data in the selected lists. And importantly we have the user has the opportunity to name up to 45 contact fields (known as user fields) and 18 business fields. These fields are arranged in sets of 9, each group containing 2 date fields and 7 alphanumeric fields. Each set of fields has a user-definable name.
Data entered in this fields will be of a semi-permanent nature and by finding records of interest by sending in those and other Perfect PA fields, the user can then use Perfect PA’s flag fields to identify records/contacts or businesses) to which to assign permanent attributes or characteristics. In Perfect PA we refer to these as Categories. This then allows the user to target interest groups for canvassing and mailshot purposes.
Perfect PA’s features and design have evolved through careful thought throughout and Green Button has tried at all times to keep the user in mind and make Perfect PA simple to understand. Very useful input has been received from existing users. Green Button Perfect PA is a software solution using the power of FileMaker that will allow small businesses, sole traders and home users to be able to do most of the things they need to do most of the time on their computers in one easily comprehensive package.
